Detroit Economic Club Scholarship

Amount: $2,000
Deadline:February 15: Registration deadline
March 15: Application deadline
Requirement:To be eligible, applicants must be a graduate of a high school located in the City of Detroit, or Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb counties and entering their first year of college in the fall.

Jean and Tom Rosenthal Scholarship Program
Amount: Varies
Requirement: Members of the current graduating class at Pontiac High School. Recipients must enroll full-time at a non-profit or state supported two- or four-year college or university in the United States.
Deadline: February 15: Registration deadline
March 15: Application deadline

Miguel Cabrera Family Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Requirement: Applicants must be a Michigan high school graduate with a preference for students from Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, Livingston and St. Clair counties, or Florida high school graduate, with a preference for students from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Deadline:February 15: Registration deadline
March 15: Application deadline

The Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
Amount: Varies
Requirement: Students must have (or have had) Medicaid coverage for 24 months within a 36-consecutive month period between the ages of nine and high school graduation. Complete the TIP application no later than August 31 of the academic year in which the student graduates from high school or its recognized equivalent. Obtain a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent prior to age 20. Students who attend a state-approved Early/Middle College have until age 21 to graduate and complete a TIP application. Be a Michigan resident as determined by institutional criteria. Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or approved refugee. Not be in default on a Federal student loan. Be enrolled at least half-time.

Donna W. Adams Fund

Amount: $3,000
Deadline: February 15: Registration deadline
March 15: Application deadline
Requirement: Graduating seniors from any Detroit Public School
Graduates of any of the elementary schools listed above
Must demonstrate exemplary desire, ability, and good grades
Must demonstrate leadership and character through extracurricular activities, volunteer involvement and work experience in school and in the community
Must demonstrate financial need

Chris Kurzweil Scholarship
Amount: $1,000

Requirement: The purpose of the Chris M. Kurzweil Scholarship Program is to assist the legal dependents of employees of Intertape Polymer Group in pursuing a program of undergraduate education. One scholarship for $1,000 is awarded yearly to a student entering college as freshman in the following year. Scholarship recipients may reapply in each of three additional years, if full-time enrollment has been maintained. Award determinations will be made with the assistance of the Chris M. Kurzweil Scholarship Program Advisory Committee.

Ordóñez Family Scholarship
Amount: $1,250
Deadline: March 15th
Requirement:Must be a resident of southwest Detroit and have attended a Southwest Detroit high school for their entire secondary education. 3.0 or better grade point average (4.0 scale) or while in college or university with an equivalent of a 2.5 or better grade point average (4.0 scale)

Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Deadline:
Requirement: Applicants must be under the age of 22, a graduate of, or senior at, a high school in the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber geographic area, and entering their first year of college in the fall. The communities served by the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber are Allen Park, Belleville, Brownstown, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Charter Township of Huron, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Sumpter, Taylor, Trenton, Van Buren Township, Woodhaven, and Wyandotte.

Robert Stempel Scholarship

Requirement:Seniors at the following Detroit high schools: Cass Technical High School, Detroit School of Arts,Renaissance High School, University Prep Science and Math High School, University Prep High School. 3.0 or better grade point average (4.0 scale)

Detroit Tigers Willie Horton Scholarship

Requirement: Seniors who are on track to graduate from Detroit Collegiate Preparatory High School at Northwestern.

Virgil K. Lobring Scholarship Program

Requirement: Only candidates who identify as a female/woman. Undergraduate/community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year. Masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology. You must be planning to attend full time (exceptions are made for reentry and non-traditional applicants).
